Tatsuki Fujimoto Ate His Own Pet Fish That Was Dead
According to Anime Senpai, the official English version of Tatsuki Fujimoto’s second one-shot collection, Tatsuki Fujimoto Before Chainsaw Man: 22-26, has been released. In this, the mangaka revealed the deepest darkest sin he committed when he was young.
When Fujimoto was 24, he and his girlfriend used to live together in a 15,000 yen apartment. Although they faced some financial challenges they maintained a balanced diet. The credit goes to their generous neighbors. During one summer, their Japanese Rice Fish died.
Denji – Chainsaw Man
Initially, the manga creator thought of throwing the fish in the trash like in “Parasyte,” but his girlfriend insisted on burying it. And that’s when things went differently than what was expected.
Fujimoto tried to dig a grave in the park but found the ground too hard, so he left the fish on the surface. He observed that the ants started carrying their bodies away.
He was so affectionate with the fish, that he brushed the ants off from fish’s body and ate it. However, he had an upset stomach the next day.

Tatsuki Fujimoto Didn’t Tell His Girlfriend That He Ate Their Dead Fish
Fujimoto’s love for his fish can’t be questioned, after all, it was his pet. But after he ate it, he had an upset stomach the next day.
It was noticed by his girlfriend and when she asked him about the reason behind his stomach ache, the creator lied to avoid confrontation.
Power and Denji from Chainsaw Man
At the end of his comments, the Chainsaw Man author admits feeling guilty of lying to his girlfriend more than the guilt of eating his pet fish.
In his confession, Fujimoto also revealed that he has frequently resorted to lying throughout his life when he is frightened or under pressure.
He added that he usually gets caught in his lies, but this particular incident literally went unnoticed.
