The plot of Masashi Kishimoto’s masterpiece, the Naruto franchise, is mostly defined by the anime and manga series. However, his work has been adapted to different forms of media that expand the storyline further.

Her name is Hikari Uchiha, and she might have one of the most broken Sharingan abilities seen so far in the series.

Hikari has been commonly referred to as Nanashi, and she happens to be a kunoichi of the Uchiha Clan from the Warring States Period. This period of time is way before the hidden village of Konohagakure and the other hidden villages formed. 
Her powers are quite strong. She has powerful chakra and unique jutsu abilities. She has also possessed a fully matured Sharingan from a very young age. She awakened her Mangekyo Sharingan, allowing her to unleash a Genjutsu known as the Yachihoko. This grants her the power to wipe someone’s memory and control their mind as well as the chakra of others. 
The Uchiha Clan used Hikari during the Warring State Period as a potent weapon against the other ninja clans. Instead of being treated as a fellow human being, she was addressed as a weapon. Nanashi replaced her real name, and she was locked away in a cage during the war. She was sealed away by a fuinjutsu used by the alliance of the Senju clan with the Sarutobi clan. She remained there until the present age of Boruto Uzumaki’s youth.

Fortunately, Nanashi’s story does trace the path of a tragedy. Toneri Otsutsuki sends Boruto back in time. He saves Nanashi from the cruelty of the Uchiha Clan back in the Warring State Period. They fight their way out of the Uchiha stronghold, and he goes on to reveal his actual name and identity to her. This inspires her to lead a life of something more than a war weapon, to live as a human. 
Boruto gets the satisfying validation of his actions as he returns to the present time. Hikari is living a good life, which signifies the role of his actions in reshaping her life for the better.
