Dandadan Episode 7 Has 10 Seconds of Animation So Peak It Makes One Piece’s ‘Zoro vs King’ Scene Look Mid

Lately, Dandadan‘s anime adaptation has been everything fans have been craving and even more. Studio Science SARU’s bold visuals, combined with the series’ wild concepts and stunning artwork, create one of the year’s most exciting and standout series.

Each new episode of the anime raises the bar, with the latest episode leaving viewers questioning their previous disdain for the yokai creatures initially presented as villains. Dandadan Episode 7 dealt with disturbing themes of graphic violence, prostitution, and even suicide.

From breakneck action to a melancholic tale of heartbreak, loss, and despair, leaving a lasting impression on the audience. Dandadan Episode 7 has significantly increased the hype of Yukinobu Tatsu’s acclaimed series, leaving many fans applauding the animation and even comparing it to One Piece‘s Zoro vs King epic fight scene.

Dandadan‘s Epic Scene Sparks Comparisons to One Piece‘s Zoro VS King Fight

Enthralling fans for over 25 years, Eiichiro Oda’s One Piece narrates an epic tale of friendship and adventure, captivating generations of viewers. The manga is still ongoing, yet it has already accumulated sales of over 500 million, earning the title of the best-selling manga of all time by a huge margin.

Despite the long list of 1000+ episodes or chapters, Oda-sensei is regarded as a true genius for introducing a beautiful world-building with the OP universe and enchanting many viewers with his masterpiece. The anime has announced a six-month hiatus, but One Piece‘s Wano arc is still fresh in fans’ minds, leaving them eagerly awaiting the Straw Hats’ return.

From Luffy’s Gear 5 transformation to Zoro’s slash against Kaido, the Wano Arc stands as one of the most captivating and best arcs in the series. As Dandadan‘s popularity grows, many fans claim that Science SARU’s recent impressive animation surpasses the Zoro vs King fight.

Behind every villain is a tragic story, and this episode delves deep into it. Unlike the anime’s previous outings, Episode 7 does not take the usual humorous approach when it comes to storytelling.

As the episode unfolds, viewers learn about Acrobatic Silky’s heartbreaking backstory, which is sure to bring anyone to tears. Furthermore, the inclusion of ballet scenes portraying the emotions of Acrobatic Silky’s human self deeply moved many viewers in the episode.

Though Acrobatic Silky’s backstory didn’t offer any flashy action, the quiet, intimate direction of the flashback sequence only added to a tragic story the manga already so impressively told.

The most damning thing about the entire episode is how the story turns the audience into Acrobatic Silky’s corner before the end. Undoubtedly, Dandadan‘s animation remains its strongest suit.

Science Saru deserves praise for their work, but especially in this episode. There is never a dull moment because of the amazingly talented animators on board.

Dandadan‘s Creator Shares Gratitude for Tatsuki Fujimoto’s Mentorship

Though Dandadan has exploded in popularity online, many fans may not realize the impact of Tatsuki Fujimoto’s guidance on Yukinobu Tatsu. Tatsu once even revealed how he came up with the title’s name while under Fujimoto-sensei’s mentorship.

Before his magnum opus, Tatsu worked on two projects as a manga artist. These included a manga series Seigi No Rokugou and a one-shot manga Yamada Kiki Ippatsu.

Both works were rejected by Shonen Jump. Following multiple rejections, Tatsu grew increasingly discouraged and began to lose confidence, which started to affect his creativity. During that challenging and painful period, Shihei encouraged Tatsu to “draw freely”, advice that transformed Tatsu’s fate and led to the creation of his latest global hit, Dandadan.

Dandadan is available to stream on Netflix and Crunchyroll
