Actor Finn Jones, who played the role of Iron Fist in the eponymous show, expressed his desire to return to the MCU. The series aired on the streaming platform Netflix for two seasons from 2017 to 2018. However, Iron Fist was not received well by both critics and fans. With Charlie Cox’s Daredevil back in the universe, fans are curious whether other Defenders will also make a comeback.

Iron Fist’s Finn Jones is ready to return like Charlie Cox’s Daredevil

The Game of Thrones actor was recently present at the LaConve anime convention in Mexico, where he talked about Iron Fist and his chances of return.

According to a clip posted by a user called Warling on X (formerly Twitter), Finn Jones addressed the question of his return as the character. He said, “[There is a] willingness for the fans to see that happen.” He also mentioned how some fans don’t want to see him return due to the poor reception earlier. The actor also stated that he was aware of the criticism and conveyed, “I’m very aware of the critiques of the character and my role in it.”

However, Jones expressed his readiness to play Iron Fist and stated, “My response to that (criticism) is like, give me a f-ing chance, man. I’m here and I’m ready. I want to prove people wrong. So I would love to see that happen.”

Speculations surrounding the possible return of characters like Luke Cage, Jessica Jones, and Iron Fist have been going around since the release of Daredevil: Born Again.

In February 2025, Marvel Head of TV and Streaming Brad Winderbaum also had a chat with Entertainment Weekly, where he addressed these speculations. He didn’t reveal much but told the outlet, “I can just say that all those variables taken into account, it is certainly something that is creatively extremely exciting and that we are very much exploring.”
