Episode 8 of Sakamoto Days Part 2 introduced us to the third stage of the JCC entrance exam. There, we also saw the three wild card entrants, Toramaru, Kaji, and Shinaya, who are top-selected wannabe hitmen chosen by their respective agencies.

Naturally, the arrival of these newbies has raised the stakes several times over. As Stage Three began, the candidates engaged in a Tail Tag game and were divided into teams of three. Sakamoto and Shin ended up in separate teams, while Akira joined Sakamoto’s group.
In the latter half of the episode, Sakamoto, Akira, and Kill Baby (yes, he’s on their team too) were caught in a steel net trap set by another team. While Sakamoto struggled to break free, only Akira managed to slip out thanks to her slim build. In her attempt to rescue Sakamoto, she accidentally awakened her subconscious assassin mode and nearly killed one of the opposing members.

Now, fast-forward to the end of Episode 8, Sakamoto, after seeing how Akira almost effortlessly came close to killing the other guy, and judging how clean she was with her handiwork, suspected that she might be related to his former classmate, Rion Akao.
Sure enough, Akira reveals to Sakamoto for the first time that her last name is Akao, confirming that she is indeed Rion’s daughter. Rion’s whereabouts remain unknown, but Akira’s involvement is bound to make things even more thrilling. Even though she hates killing, her genes won’t let her live a normal life.
