The Gunpla release schedule for 2025 is somewhat rough so far, despite a new Gundam anime debuting. Although we’re getting some GQuuuuuuX models, release dates for retail models are scattered. The majority of the calendar is dominated by P-Bandai releases. Still, there are a few exciting Gunpla coming out this year. In particular, we’ll be seeing the second entry in the Perfect Grade Unleashed line, the Nu Gundam, sometime in 2025.

2025 Gunpla Release Schedule

Note that the release dates below are for Japan only (unless marked as a USA reissue). While Bandai is shipping considerably more Gunpla to the US than ever before, we’re not at the point where products are seeing simulateous worldwide release. For example, if a model is released in Japan in April, you won’t see it hit US stores until May or June at the earliest.

There are ways to import Gunpla straight from Japan and get them earlier. I’ve found the most affordable way to do so is by using a proxy like Buyee to purchase a model and have it shipped. Additionally, this method shouldn’t be affected by tariffs as long as the de minimus arrangement with Japan isn’t changed (and you make sure to order less than $800 of Gunpla at a time).

Unfortunately, Gunpla pricing has the same issue as release dates. When they’re announced, we only get the MSRP in yen. Gunpla are almost always more expensive at US retailers, and prices can vary wildly, so don’t count on a straight yen-to-USD conversation. Anecdotally, I’ve found hobby stores like Hobbytown tend to be more reasonable. However, if tariffs are enacted, you can expect prices at all local stores to rise.

The release dates below are subject to change. Additionally, many of the P-Bandai kits have multiple runs. If you miss one you want, check back later to see if another batch is scheduled for release.
