Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End Season 2 is all set to debut in January 16, 2026. Season 1 of the anime ended with the final episode, adapting the complete First-Class Mage Exam arc. Season 2 will be a direct continuation and will be adapting the Continued Northern Travels Arc.

TOHO Animation is also streaming a new trailer for the second season of Frieren. The video also previews the ending theme song of season 2, which is performed by milet, the returning artist from season 1’s ED.

Frieren Season 2: All Manga Arcs and the Best Stopping Point

After clearing the exams, Fern is now a First Class Mage. Thus, the party can now continue their journey towards Aureole, which stands at the Northern end of the continent. They will also travel to the Northern Plateau, where both new people and new monsters await.

Season 1 of Frieren adapted 60 chapters of the manga, and season 2 might follow the same path. This means season 2 might adapt till chapter 120 of the manga. Thus. Frieren season 2 will first adapt the Continued Northern Travels Arc, following it up with the Divine Revolte Arc and the Golden Land Arc, before finally ending with the Goddess’s Monument Arc.

The best ending point for season 2 is chapter 119, which shows the finale of the Goddess’s Monument Arc. The Imperial Territory Travels Arc begins with chapter 120, which is an odd point to stop.

Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End Season 2‘s trailer begins with the slow journey of Frieren’s party. The atmosphere is calm, and the trailer highlights some peaceful moments. The journey is long and has plenty of detours in classic Frieren style. Along the way, the group stops for meals, gazing at the pretty sunset, and to help people whom they come across.

Of course, the trailer also highlights the upcoming action scenes as the party will continue to face stronger enemies than they have dealt with in the past. Some monstrous demons await the party, lurking in the shadows.

The trailer also shows Himmel, who is bound to become a central part of the story once again, especially during the Goddess’s Monument Arc. Overall, the trailer is an apt demonstration of what lies ahead for fans of the series.
