Yuki Tabata created a plethora of characters for Black Clover. Characters who had received major development during the beginning of the series have been sidelined in the recent events. One character has faced the most injustice despite his great affinity for magic.
The character in question is Luck Voltia; the death match-addicted Black Bull member who has shown a psychopathic side in Black Clover. Yet, Luck had shown great potential before the final saga of the series, which has been ignored in recent chapters. Despite the spotlight on some of the major characters, fans wish they could see more of Luck’s powers in action.

Luck Voltia is a Magic Knight of the Clover Kingdom’s Black Bull squad. He is also the human vessel for Lufulu, an elf. While an elf possession is bad for most people, Luck is able to unlock more of his abilities due to the elf exploiting his powers. Luck is obsessed with death matches in Black Clover and pesters his teammates to fight with him. But his battle-addict temperament isn’t fake, as he has the ability to back his claims.

Towards the beginning and middle of Black Clover, Luck had been given plenty of chances to establish his skills and power level. He has lightning magic, which he uses by concentrating lightning on his hand before attacking his opponent. Since his inception, his battle prowess has grown.

He can use natural mana to generate real lightning and even use it to shape objects from lightning. One of his unique abilities is Compound Maic, through which he can combine his magic with others to create more powerful spells. In one instance, he even combined his lightning attribute with anti-magic to form the Black Lightning Battle Fiend. In this form, he quickly destroyed several Guardian Angels created by Lucius Zogratis.

Luck has an extraordinary ability to sense manga from great distances. His skill has not only been recognized by his squad leader, Yami, but also by other captains of Magic Knights. His mana sensory is so strong that he has surpassed even the nobles with this ability and can differentiate between the magic attributes of people in a group.
After being freed from Lufulu’s control, Luck retained some of the elf’s magic and could borrow mana from his environment to perform powerful spells. By training under Dryad, he mastered elf magic. He also trained in the Heart Kingdom and became skilled at forming arrays in mid-air, which includes multi-layered arrays.

But despite all his developments, Luck Voltia didn’t have a huge chance to prove his skills in the latest arc of Black Clover. Luck has been sidelined in favor of more powerful characters, and fans believe his potential is being wasted. But since the series is yet to end, there is still some hope for Luck’s revival as the battle-beast that he is.
Black Clover manga is available to read on Viz Media, and the anime is currently streaming on Crunchyroll.
